Who, what & why?
Armed with a degree in Politics with Economics, I started out my career some 20+ years ago in retail as a finance analyst and – as you’d expect – much of my analytical work was Excel based.
At the same time I built my own simple personal finance Excel spreadsheet to keep track of my finances to track what was coming in, what was going out and what was left.
After five years, I moved out of retail finance and into digital, starting out working for a large UK publisher. I’d acquired a bunch of coding skills as an analyst to manipulate data and – surprisingly – it wasn’t a big jump to coding for websites. From there I learnt visual design and moved into digital advertising but all the while I maintained my personal finance spreadsheets.
Fast forward some more years and Beeswax Finance was born where I can meld my ‘digital’ skills in with my excel chops and here we go. For me it’s the perfect marriage and I hope my spreadsheets help you get a handle on aspects of your financial management.

Invoice & expenses tracker
This Google spreadsheet provides an intuitive way to track your invoices, so you know what has been sent, what’s paid and what is owing. In addition, expenses tracking is built in so you can allocate costs to a month, see your net income and analyse your year to date as well as detailed monthly breakdowns.
Income and Debt Management
This Google spreadsheet will give you a detailed handle on your net income after all outgoings. You can see analyse where your costs are and then look at debt repayments, explore the benefits of overpayment and how much interest you could save.
Income, Debt and Mortgage Management
This Google spreadsheet builds on the Income & Debt Management spreadsheet by adding a tab for Mortgage payoff. Once you have inputted your key information the spreadsheet will break down the mortgage by month. You can test the benefits overpayments.
